I have been away for a LONG time… a lot of things have been going on that I have been sad to write about. I have been overjoyed with the twins but so many other things lay heavy on my mind that words just do not come easy to me at the time. I have debated on writing almost everyday and I will sit down to do so and then stop with the first sentence.
My life is chaotic, everyone knows this. There is little things that I control. This month marks the two years that someone so close to me has past away. It is unreal that it has been that long. It is crazy how much I miss him because he drove me crazy. I cry a lot about him, something that I never thought I would do. There is a huge gap in our family now that he is not here. I think everyday the “what if he were here” deal….how would things be different….he spent everyday at my house, he lived with us, I cooked dinner for him everyday…. The things that you take for granted….
So this brings me to my grandpa….last month he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s…it is something that we had talked about for a small time that could be happening but this horrible disease is something that you should never have to deal with. My grandpa and I have always been very close. People have always said that he is where I get my mix up from. I have always said things backwards, used the wrong words, I have always laughed about it…. And I liked that I got it from him. I am the only granddaughter so that makes our relationship even more special. As I write this I cant stop but cry because I love him so much and I find myself not wanting to go see him because he is not the same as what he used to be. I feel horrible because I have already lost someone that I would give up a whole lot to just have at the house for one more day but then someone who lives five minutes from me I tend to drag my feet. My heart is broken. I feel like things are just not what they should be.
My crazy life with kids.

Completely slacking already
So I cant believe that I let 5 days go by without even realizing that I had not posted a new blog....I knew that this would be hard for me.
The weekend was super busy, getting ready and throwing a first birthday party is just not as easy as it should be. It was an absolute success!! There was a point while opening presents that Dax stepped aside and completely busted out a dance for everyone....absolutely priceless. It is amazing the things that a one year old can do. If only you could freeze them at this age for a little longer so you could enjoy it even more. :) Daycare today has been a ton of fun. I am amazed by these kids and their obsession with Justin Bieber. Who would of thought that all of the two and three year olds that I watch can sing practically the whole song of Baby, baby. Layla has her first crush for sure, it is as if she is a teenager in that little body of hers.... a little scary if you ask me.
I am absolutely blessed. :)

My Birthday Boy!!
Today was the big day of Daxton turning ONE!! I still cannot believe how fast the past year has went. He is such a big boy that he dropped one of his naps today and thought he could hang with all of the big kids. FedEx showed up with a four wheeler, from family in California, I just laughed watching Malon put it together wrong. :)
Layla picked out what kind of cake to make Dax, cherry chip with cherry frosting, "Daxy loves pink momma"!! Whatever you say Layla... daycare kids enjoyed the cake as much, if not more than Dax.
Layla had show n' tell at school today and all she shared was that it was her baby brothers birthday and she was so excited!
The big party is on Saturday so there will be more to talk about then.
Tomorrow is the day of 1 year check up and I am dreading that. If any of you have had the wonderful opportunity to hear my little man cry it is one God awful thing, something from the movies, horror movies that is....and there is no stopping him when he doesn't want to be stopped.
It has been such a good day but I cant help but get just little choked up over how big he has gotten....it amazes me.

In rare form....
So today started off as smooth as ever. Kids were happy and getting along and then lunch hit..... I think that it was a combo of hungry bellies and tired bodies that sent them all off. Tacos for lunch were not successful at all, more food ended on the floor that is for sure. I had everyone to sleep by 1:00 besides Jayden and little Lily Sassafras.....for some reason these two have been on a nap strike for some time. Once nap time was over Malon had the wonderful idea of giving the kids suckers....needless to say I am now doing a load of laundry of all the daycare kids. Why is it that guys just don't think before they do anything.....drives me crazy

Carston was over today because there was no school and the link above is what we put together, along with many more while the kids took naps...we are a little weird, but it was a good time!
Never a dull moment in my household.... :)

My first day as a blogger
I am not too sure how long this will last but it is worth a shot.
My days consist of of chasing around kids with runny noses and poopy pants. On an average day I have up to 8 kids that run my life and I love it.
I have been with my other half for almost 11 years and we currently have 2 kids with one, maybe two on the way...yes I said two. This will be confirmed Feb. 3 at my next appointment. This is very exciting to think that I may be having twins by August.
I guess that is it for the first day....more to come
